Steve Williamson

April 15, 1955 - October 10, 2024

Stephen Paul Williamson, 69, passed away on October 10th, 2024, in Plainfield, IN. Born on April 15, 1955, Stephen faced a challenging battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia since his diagnosis in July 2022. Despite a courageous fight and the support of his medical team at the bone marrow unit, including Dr. Larry Cripe, Dr. Varun Mittal, Elaine, Macie and Terri, as well as organizations like Be the Match and the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, Stephen lost his battle.

Stephen leaves behind his loving wife Elizabeth Masheck Williamson; his daughter, Sarah, and her husband Christopher Smith; his son Henry Williamson; and his father Alfred Lind.

He was a graduate of Christian Theological Seminary, which shaped much of his thoughtful and compassionate outlook. Stephen was known for his talents in sports, gardening, reading, music, and particularly his skills in cooking and baking, which brought joy to many. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:30am at Christ Church Cathedral, located at 125 Monument Cir, Indianapolis, IN 46204.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Gathering Together of Plainfield (thegatheringtogether.org) in memory of Stephen. His generosity and caring spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
