GHS Class of 73, Cratty Insurance, 1197 N. Henderson St.  Galesburg IL 61401

Friday, September 22

4:00 PM - GHS Homecoming Parade – Downtown Galesburg.  Wear your GHS Colors!  We have representation in the parade.  We will have several vehicles in the parade plus some signs and banners.  Meet at 3:30 PM IF you want to be in the parade. Meeting point is Seminary and North Street.  Some can ride in the back of trucks [two] & we have two convertibles - one is reserved for our Homecoming Queen. Or walk....

6:00 PM – Welcome GHS ’73.  There will be a banner in the bleachers for our class! Admission to the Game is $6.00 per Adult.    The Frosh/Soph game will be going on at this time.  You can start out the reunion by meeting with your High School buds at the new Football Stadium [first season was in 2015].  This is a beautiful stadium so get there early before the game to meet/greet.  Wear your GHS Silver Streak Garb!  [if you don’t have any – there will be GHS Streaks items for sale there].  Meeting Location will be a section of Home side stands that will be roped off - towards the Concession Stand end.

7:30 PM - Homecoming Football Game Against Quincy!  If you don’t show up early as noted above – just a reminder that the cost for admission for the Football Game is $6.00 per person for Adults.  Average temperature at game time for the 3rd week in September tends to be between 60 and 65 degrees.  And based on weather data information – there is about a 27% chance of precipitation around that time.

6:30  PM - 12:00 Midnight - Gather at Cherry Street – Tailgate party!   You can choose to go to the game, come to Cherry Street or leave at Half time but we will have our first evening together at Cherry Street in their private room.  We will enjoy a cash bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and music from the 70’s and a live performance featuring by our very own DAVE BERNTSON.  Should anyone want to join in?  Bring your Mouth Harp, Guitar, or Tambourine….NOTE:  If bringing a guitar - you can plug in to the Amp.

Saturday, September 22

9:00 AM Join us for the 5k fun run/walk!  Your hosts Bob Wessels, Theresa O’Connor and Stephen Podwojski will guide you on a lovely run through Lake Storey Park.  Please meet at the South End of Lake Storey/Boat Ramp, right off 150/North Henderson Street, no later than 8:45 AM.  The run will be on the bike/walk/jogging path that winds its’ way along Lake Storey.  Forcast calls for cloudy and I suspect at 9 AM on that date it will be around 60 degrees F.  Both Bob and Theresa will run you ragged – Stephen “Pod” Podwojski will have a gentler pace.  It’s for fun so walk, jog, or see who can beat Bob and Theresa! We have confirmed several people will be walking.

1:00 - 3:00 PM - Tours of Silas Willard, Lombard, Churchill, Costa and GHS.
