GILLETTE, Wyo. - Funeral service for John Robert "Jack" Bowling will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, Wyo. Friends will be received at the funeral home an hour prior to the service. 
Jack Bowling, 54, Gillette, Wyo., passed away at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010. Born in Winona, Minn., on March 2, 1955, Jack was the son of the late Howard Burton and Mary Jane (Axford) Bowling. 
A graduate of Galesburg High School in Galesburg, Ill., Jack was a railroad engineer and was employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. He took great pride in helping to train and serve as a mentor to young engineers. He will be remembered by his friends and family for the generosity of his spirit. 
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Richard Bowling. He is survived by his brother Tom of Frostburg, Md.; and three nieces and three nephews. 
The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Frostburg State University Foundation, Frostburg State University, 101 Braddock Road, Frostburg, MD 21532. Checks may be payable to the "FSU Foundation."
