Mark R. Abrahamson, 61, Galesburg, died Sunday, April 24, 2016, in the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born Dec. 27, 1954, in Galesburg, to Robert L. and Evelyn R. Abrahamson.
He is survived by two brothers, Matt (Darlene) and Joel (Kris); one nephew; three nieces; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mark graduated from Galesburg Senior High School and Southern Methodist University. His life and career took him to Chicago, Cleveland and Washington, D.C., before returning to his roots in Galesburg where a celebration of life will be held in his remembrance this summer.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, 8630 Illinois Route 91, Peoria, IL 61615.
