GALESBURG -- Michael Skrzypek, 42, of 1415 Rock Island Ave. died at 7:26 a.m. Monday, June 8, 1998, at his home.
He was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Galesburg to John J. and Bernadine E. Perschnick Skrzypek.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Scott (Mary) Mellem of Suwanee, Ga.; and two nieces, Nicole Mellem and Lindsay Mellem, both of Suwanee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A 1973 graduate of Galesburg High School, he was a sales representative for APAC. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at East Linwood Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Slavish will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
