Michael 'Rip' McCall

Michael James McCall, 62, Galesburg, died at 1:36 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

He was born Sept. 19, 1955, in Galesburg, the son of James Alvin and Clara Frances Diehl McCall.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Nicole (Joshua) Stevenson of Kankakee; his brother, Daniel McCall of Galesburg; his two sisters, Shelley (Jeff) Boender of Gary, Indiana and Bonnie (Dave) Yeoman of Petersburg; and three grandchildren, Keion, Kecie and Kamar. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael was a truck driver for over 38 years, driving nine years for Holland Trucking and Maytag for 18 years. He drove truck for famous musicians and Broadway shows. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and listening to music.

Funeral will be at noon, Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the chapel.
