Mr. Leslie E. "Bert" Littlefield, 53, of 1156 N. Seminary St., Galesburg, IL died Saturday at 3:30 PM August 23, 2008 in Henderson County, IL. He was born June 24, 1955 in Keokuk, IA to Chuck and Phyllis Hart Littlefield. He married Nancy Kersey on September 20, 1975 in Galesburg.

“Bert” was a 1973 graduate of Galesburg High School. He was a part owner of Allied Termite and Pest Control with his brother Mike for 35 years, retiring earlier this year. He was a member of Western Illinois Home Builders, Braindead Canoe Club, and was a past member of the Alpha Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed riverboats, traveling, spending time in his cabin on the river, and also with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, a son Adam of Galesburg, a daughter Erin (and Jimi) Aldus of Galesburg and a granddaughter Chyna of Galesburg. Also surviving are 4 brothers Mike (and Barb) of Knoxville, IL, Larry (and Lois) of Fremont, CA, David (and Lori) of Palm Springs, CA, and Dennis of Peoria; 3 sisters Pat (and Bill) Ferrier of Galesburg, Pamela (and Darrell) Diskey of Mt. Zion, IL, and Judy (and Jack) Pleger of Merritt Island, FL.
Mr. Littlefield was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward, and a nephew Dalin Diskey.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with the Rev. Glen Weatherly officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the chapel.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. The family requests that casual dress be worn to services. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the American Kidney Fund.
